Kind of reminds me of an Abe Lincoln quote about either Sherman or Grant, both drunks, and in Sherman's case possibly bi-polar to boot.
Anyway, a newspaper man said something about one or the other of them being a drunk and Lincoln's response was, "I can't spare him, he fights".
