Very nice combo! ......... A lot of those old 700 222s got torn down for the action or rechambered to 223.

Rechambering is/was apparently a good way to stretch out the usable life of a barrel, according to a piece I read a while back. The writer cited a pal who put about 12,000 rounds through his .222, rechambered to clean up the throat, and soldiered on as before. Should appeal to the frugal sort, maybe even me.

What fresh Hell is this?
