ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers say that they were told a Dodge pickup truck passed through barricades manned by the Alaska National Guard at Skilak Lake Loop around 8 a.m.

Troopers say an officer with US Fish and Wildlife attempted to stop the truck, but the pickup attempted to ram his patrol car. The officer was able to evade the truck and then followed it onto the Sterling Highway.

The vehicle continued for 15 miles toward Soldotna, where AST was able to deploy spike strips to stop the vehicle. But the vehicle rammed three more patrol vehicles.

Eventually, troopers disabled the vehicle with a AST Bearcat Tactical Vehicle, and then negotiated with the driver, 48-year-old Josh Lingle of Cooper Landing.

He was remanded to the Wildwood Pre Trial Facility on charges of Assault 3rd (3 counts)/Criminal Mischief 3rd (3 counts)/Failure to stop at direction of a peace officer/Reckless driving where he held without bail.
