Caught 27 bass in a couple hours Friday morning. I grabbed a chance to get the boat on a local lake Friday morning. Only had a few hours so I went to a 250 acreage lake close to home. It was heavy overcast with about a 10mph wind and thunderstorms moving in about noon. I was on the water at daylight. Just up from the boat ramp is a large flat that is 5'-7' deep and covered in submerged grass. Turned out a magnum Pop R was the ticket, the topwater bite was on. Most of the takers were 12" -14" but i did have a couple near 3 lbs. Fun morning!
