I bought one years ago with the plastic stock, which I hated. So I sent to the company for a replacement wood stock (which you could order separately back in the day) and they sent me one of the most beautiful BIRCH stock sets you can imagine. FULL of tiger stripes, both stock and FE. dense and heavy. Shot really accurately and still does--I sent it to my son in VA when CA required non-lead ammo for hunting--like several of my .22 WRMs, it hated the nonlead ammo. (Fortunately several of them handle it OK--my S&W 651 actually loves it....).
