Oh, I wasnt on that place, Neal. I meant I had been on several other good places the kids sold off after their Dad orGrandad died. One was the big McElroy ranch around Crane years ago that was owned by a fellow who had owned the Dr Pepper brewery in San Antonio. He also had several other ranches.

He had ranch families that had been living on the place working it for his family for 80 years, cattle and sheep. He died and the kids kicked them off and sold it to Chevron for about 4 times what they got paid in surface damages a year iirc.Unreal.

Chevron is very antigun. Some 40 inch wide muleys on their oil leases north of Imperial in the sandhills. I guess the cats and coyotes eat very well.

Oasis Ranch on Independence Creek and the Pecos River and the Circle Cross south of Cloudcroft and Hogg Sandhills ranch north of Monahans hurt too.
