The progressives always need a crusade or two. It was suffrage, Prohibition, emancipation, and so on and so on. Always this cause or that will finally make the world a great place to live. At the emotional level for them, guns are no different. It’s a religion. The world needs fixing and someone’s got to be called to do it.
I don't call them "progressives" because what they propose is not progress but regression.
