Hi!
I have a pre-64 featherweight model 70 in 270 that has a worn coating type finish. I don’t know what sort. The base rifle appears to be in good shape. Is there a good way or gunsmith that can remove the old painted on “kote” and polish reblue well? If it can be refinished nicely, I would like to put it in a classic pattern stock and mount a fixed 4x Leupold on it. Get as close to the O’Connor #1 270 as I can. (I realize the #2 is the favorite pet, but I like #1 best!)

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
