I have 2003, bought used 33K in '05, same set-up. 97K now. Front end rebuild, water pump so far. Tho I think the dealer may have snooked me on the front end thing, as 15,000 miles later they told me it needed it again. Didn't go back for any more "service checks", still OK, 40K later.....
Wife put gas in, so that had to be fixed. Mechanic (now out of business) told me that year had a weak in-tank pump which it would be wise to change out to exterior fuel pump at the same time. Not so sure about that either.. Takes abut 4 seconds to fire up now, instead of next to nothing.
On third mechanic- I think this one is good. Just put third set of tires on. Came with Michelins, then Nokio, back to Michelins. Huge difference in ride over Nokio.
\Still aint a passenger car, tho....
