It’s not the aluminum lug that’s the issue... it’s the way the lug fits into the stock that causes the marring.
Super glue the lug to the receiver, with the lug pressed forward in the recess.... then bed it like you would a Remington. When you pull it apart, the lug will stay in the bedding, and you’ll see no more marring of the lug.... because nothing can move.
