It gives the same velocity as the 243, in a shorter case. This also allows you to shoot the longer, heavier bullets in a short action. Most 243s have a hard time with the long bullets due to mag constraints. In short mags that allow long bullets, and fast twist barrels to spin em make the 6 creed different than factory 243s.Same thing for the 6m'm rem.The mags may have a little more room, I am not sure but factory barrel twist won't spin the longer heavier bullets.
