Nice job! I hauled a hind quarter out once over my shoulder along with my rifle and back pack. The idea was to lessen the following loads once I brought my freighter frame back in to get the rest. That was not pleasant even though it wasn’t that far.
I haven’t found much to beat good elk meat and we are now three quarters through last years bull which is just great eating. That and pheasant are my long time favorites...unless it’s fresh walleye. 🙂
