To keep things in perspective, the Republican Party (Originally started by Abraham Lincoln and Horace Greeley as "The Red Republican Party) was a progressive (read liberal) party.

It's just that, since the Communists & Socialists hijacked the Democratic Party in the 1950's & 1960's, the Democratic Party is now so far to the left that the Republicans look like conservatives. In fact, the Republican Party was not "progressive enough for Teddy Roosevelt, and he was not going to run as a "Republican" again. because they were not sufficiently liberal enough for him. The exact same reason Lincoln and Greeley left the Whig Party and started the Red Republican Party.

Teddy;s nephew, F.D.R. took liberalism to a whole 'nother level from which we have not recovered.

So, before we get up on our "high horse" and point fingers at the "evil Democrats", remember that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are the same type folks they were when the lynchings were prevalent.

The propensity for genocide and control of non-whites, however, has never left the Democratic Party, as witnessed by their present insistence on abortion (which impacts minorities at a vastly greater rate than Caucasians) and the unending entitlement programs to keep the minorities "on the Plantation".

If we want to point fingers and cry foul, lets keep it to what they've been doing since the Communists and Socialists took over.
The same applies to the folks we call "RINO", as they are simply keeping to the party's original philosophy of "progressive thought". They are not, and never have been, "conservatives".
