I did read online some reviews saying the gear rations from 1st-2nd-3rd sucked and it suffered on towing? Thoughts on this engine?

I have a 2016 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 hemi ( 6 speed) & 3.73 gears.Towing heavy get about 9.9 MPG empty city/highway 14.0 mpg. Truck has been trouble free but only 44,000 miles on the OD.
