Don't have an m1 carbine, been wanting one, trying to learn what I can about them before a purchase. Don't want to get hosed of course. Ran across one locally, Underwood receiver, barrel '43, underwood marked trigger assembly, I imagine I'll need to request to take it apart to verify other parts. Has the 2nd series rear sight, push button safety, bayonet lug, and a PJ stock which I understand is a wartime replacement. They are asking 1200, I haven't tried to "deal" with them yet. What else do I need to look for, what is a fair price? I know I don't have pics but it seems to be in honest shape, not beat up, not new of course but nothing that worries me. Thanks.
