There is nothing that requires slave pins or anything in the way of specific tools, but they are fairly complicated... The trigger group must come out which releases the shell stops. Then the bolt assembly has to come out, which releases the fore end arms... art Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
