If Bass Pro is as bad as we think, and it is that bad, or worse, someone someplace will pop up to challenge them, and likely be successful at it. Happens all the time.
FWIW, it felt and still feels like Cabelas, which started as a catalog retailer, should have been extremely well positioned to enter the world of internet shopping. How many of us, their mainstay customers, like to shop? Not very many. Too many stores built in too many places it seems to me. Wonder whose brilliant idea that was.
When Gander Mountain was in trouble, wasn't Cabelas the one to buy the catalog portion, which I assume included online?
