Thanks for all the kind words, we had passed on one a few weeks ago due to the fading light and he was bummed out, told him we still have till mid February before season ends.
This one was out a little early yesterday afternoon, saw him before we got to the stand at about 400 yards, he disappeared in the woods and came back out at just a little over a 100 yards. When he turned almost broadside I let him shoot.
I’m glad he’s young enough that he doesn’t know how poorly equipped he was.
