Finally had the opportunity to take a deer w/ my 223AI Montana, rebarreled w/ a 21", 7" twist Hart by Ray Perry in Bridge City, Tx. Shot this 180 lb buck late Friday evening @ ~125 yds w/ a 77lrx launched at 2900 fps:

The bullet entered ~3" behind the left shoulder and exited at the right shoulder - buck was slightly quartering away at the shot. Only bones hit were ribs. There was no visible entrance hole or exit hole, bullet appeared to "pencil through". It had rained heavily that afternoon and it was dark by the time I started looking for the deer - no blood to be found. About 25 yards down from where he ran, lots of blood, buck was dead ~45yards from where he was shot.

Upon cleaning the deer the heart and lungs were soup. Entrance/exit wounds were about 1/2 dollar size:

Bullet performed well! Will stunt shoot again!
