One that was on alert, and prepared.
Not civilians, or any "innocents".
Used their own military, and claimed it.
A first.
Their statements leading up to this were normal, by western standards.
No machismo stuff. No annihilation of the Great and Little Satan.
Simply response in kind.
If there is not too much property damage,
little to no human damage, I smell a rat.
If so, do we respond?
If we don't, a rat exists.
A back door, negotiated response.
They responded, and save face.
We say,
"They were ineffectual, no response needed."
It ends.
That, could be the best case scenario.
No big fight.
But, if I goes this way, we have obviously impacted them.
And negotiated something.
