Before realizing that I suffered from The Addiction, I thought I was an alcoholic. I joined a club. The club explained that we would remain anonymous. This was a LIE.
After covering a number of steps they explained I had to apologize to everyone. So I did. Then they explained I had to not only apologize on the social medias, but to real people.
I asked them "How can I remain anonymous when I stand in front of people and tell them I used to drink the alcohol too much?!?!?!" They were adamant that it was part of the process. I even retrieved a dictionary and showed them the definition of anonymous. They would not listen.
With that, we parted ways. I respectfully suggested that they change the title of their club but they just kept asking me to please leave the building. They were not nice people.
