Ruger rings do tend to be a bit heavy. But.... There are no separate bases. If you weigh a set of steel Leupold mounts + the bases they weigh about the same as just the Ruger rings.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
