Need proof that not only will this impeachment trail stuff blow over without marking Trump in the least, but that Trump easily wins re-election? Then I submit to you that CHINA has just signed a trade deal with the US the same day Pelosi marched her dog and pony show over to the Senate.
If the Chinese had any hope a Dem would win, they would never sign anything with Trump. They would be in a much better position to push the next Democrat around and change nothing. The fact that Cina has come to table and actually signed means even the biggest communists in left in the world know Trump will be President for nearly 5 more years.

The bigwigs at the Chinese politburo may also feel that they are not be able to wait over an entire year without a trade deal. The agreement that was just signed, by the way, is but one segment of a much larger package. This one, dealing with IP theft and piracy, could easily be a way of looking like something is moving forward, while on the Chinese streets nothing changes.
