I guess I was way to vague last night. I had mounted a new scope on a new gun. My new rifle has a muzzle brake. Because if that I wasnt able to use my bore sighter. So I was trying bore sight the old fashioned way of looking through the muzzle at a spot on wall and moving scope to it. Problem was inside the house the furthest distance I could get was about 10 yards.
When I tried to move scope to that spot I ran out of elevation adjustment going down and the lowest i could get the crosshairs was about 2 inches over the spot. So knowing i would go to the range i was trying get an idea where this was going to hit at distance. So No i wasnt trying to sight in at 10 yards.
When i got to the range today and set my target at 50 yards I had plenty of elevation and was able to get it bore sighted right away.
