I don’t know if the OP knows the difference between first and second focal plane and how it affects BDC.
While I have used bdc with success, having a CDS dial gives me much more confidence.
One of my tract scopes has Their BDC and it’s very clear and easy to use and their program is also very good.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
