I gotta real twist for ya. If ya can pop for $4.....

North of Tampa and just south of Westly Chapel 75 and 275 split off.
75 heads SE and goes out around Tampa and the reconnects with 275 south of the bay, look at your map.

If you take 275 there and go due south right through Tampa/St.Pete you can get onto the Old Sunshine Skyway "Fishing Bridge" and camp for dirt cheap, you'll be out over the bay, it's pretty cool. No hook-up or anything but it just costs a few bucks and there is great fishing right from the door of your rig.
It don't amount to much but there is bait tackle and bathrooms...

When you leave just jump back on 275 and continue south and you'll be back on 75 in a jiffy and soon rolling into Ft. Myers.

The following is from their website:

When the new Sunshine Skyway Bridge was built over Tampa Bay, connecting St. Petersburg with Sarasota, the old bridge was turned into the world's longest fishing pier. Anglers love being able to park their cars or campers within a few feet of their favorite fishing spot. The bridge is lit at night, so anglers can see to rig a line, bait the hook, and get a good look at their catch. The light also attracts many species of fish after sundown. Common catches include snook, tarpon, grouper, black sea bass, Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, sheepshead, red snapper, pompano, and many more.
