Thanks a bunch for the replies. It sounds like the 2x10x38 Is not for me. I would get the K 6x but the rifles I would potentially be using it on are long action and I do not have (or want) rails on any of my rifles. This just reiterates the problem today of scope manufacturers not producing scopes with the attributes that a lot of us hunters want. RJ
