Good on you for treating him right. My best friend owns several laundromats in a decent sized city. Couple guys with similar problems and similar age who live in a group home nearby were always hanging around the one place. Instead of chasing them away he kind of looks after them. Takes them once a month or so for lunch and on what he calls field trip if he's just running errands around the city. They have his cell number and call him if they need something. Even drives them to their dr's appointments sometimes. I think it's really healthy for them to have a friend like him. You might be surprised how much you mean to that guy.
