It is indeed counter to all human nature. It assumes that everyone with talent and drive will continue to produce things that will be confiscated and given to those who do squat. But what happens is that before long, the producers quit producing and simply put their own hands out. Nothing made, nothing to redistribute. System collapse.
Yeah, ask William Bradford and the Pilgrims how all of that worked out for them. That was the ultimate experiment on how Socialism and Capitalism works.
