What’s the reason for the orange tape?
Moisture and debris. But if you’re part of the do nothing gang it prevents you from sticking gum wrappers and snickers wrappers down the barrel while sitting in your deer condo 150 yards from your truck that you drove to with the SxS.🤪
The air column blows it off the end of the barrel when you pull the trigger, but this is unconfirmed... most of the tape stays on for years at a time, only to be replaced with shiny new tape.
