Worked within a half mile of a Ford dealer in 1966. Went down on lunch hour one day and test drove the first Bronco they had on the lot. Didn't much care for the color, kind of a bluish green. Liked it after the test drive and figured to buy one in another color, when they had more of a selection. IIRC, had a 289, automatic, manual hubs?

Had just turned 20 then, living at home and my dad hated Fords, refused to have anything to do with me buying one.

Later years, a friend had one, think it was a '68? Decent critters for the time. Considered them better than the CJ5s of the day. There are still a few of the old original Broncs on the road around here. Some years ago a tenant had one that was heavily modded. Lifted, bigger V8, huge gums and cut fenders..

If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
