I realize this is an old post but I have the MVA 1886 sight on my Miroku/Winchester 73. I talked with them and they told me the tangs are the same pistol grip or straight grip doesnt matter. One thing that isnt on their site is that they offer a long and a short barrel for their sights. They ship with the short barrel, I wish I'd have gotten the long.
The buck horns arent blocking the tang sight picture but they are in view enough that I dont like them and will be removing the barrel mounted sights soon.
