In my vast experience, one elk with a .308 and one with a7mm mag, the Nosler partition has worked well for me. The 180 gr. in the .308 dropped on the spot, then rolled down hill a couple hundred yards, and the 160 gr. in the 7mm ran about 100 yards with a double lung hit. To be fair, bot shots were at 150 yards or less. I'll probably not switch.
