My thoughts are Remington's gas system design for the "V3" was 25 years to late allowing Beretta and Benelli to dominate the auto shotgun market....
Benelli Super Black Eagle 1 had its issues. SBE 2 perpetuated the issues. Don't know if they got it right with the SBE 3. I would NEVER buy a Benelli.
The Remington 1100's main flaw was a $2 o-ring. Has not hurt my feelings, even a little bit, to install a new one annually each time I clean the gun after end of season. Have NEVER had it stop running, ever. The post-1100 iterations from Remington have looked promising. But, not enough to orphan my 1100's.
