Wouldn't give it a second thought, regardless.

Most accurate .308 I ever owned was a Kimber Longmaster, with IIRC, a 1-12". Like the man said, with a .308, you run out of gas tank before you reach the point where any of the "standard" twists would become an issue. Cast bullet guys might prefer 1-12", but I'm not sure that really matters either.
