Here in the West we take for granted the civilizing moral powered the Ten Commandments in our culture, and the legacy of centuries of development of the concept of inalienable rights of mankind. Those are our cultural roots.

China had none of that, and it shows.

Weird practices all around the world.................our weird ones are just more civilized I guess.

We plop, clams, crabs and lobsters right into boiling water, but of course, those are lower on the totem pole of life I guess.
