You need to take about three wraps around the post, not a single. Ir won't slip then.I suse a1/4" chain about 4 ft long. I put a hook on the top of the bucket to latch the chain into



Yup. Pulled a lotta posts T and wood with a bucket. It's easier with a helper who can hold the tail of the chain, but I've had to get down and readjust plenty smile But if you throw a half hitch with the chain it's usually easy peasy.
