"Deep State"- - - - - -none of the bureaucrats listed in the above article were elected by ordinary citizens voting for them. I have a friend from college back in the 1960's who spent 30+ years working for the Department of Transportation, writing regulations for pressure vessels like welding cylinders and Propane tanks. He survived multiple administrations of both parties by hunkering down and avoiding interacting with political appointees as much as possible. His second wife and a couple of her children got filthy rich by teaching seminars attended by Washington DC bureaucrats on how to write requests for government grants and fleece us taxpayers out of millions of dollars!
