I have my Michigan auto insurance thru Citizens and I got an email from then=m where I can change (lower) my Personal Insurance Protection. I called my agent and asked why wouldn’t my Medicare and Medigap supplemental insurance cover all of hospital cost except for my deduction. She said she didn’t know what Medicare covers or doesn’t cover - but I think her commission is based on how much my premiums cost.

Just wondering if any other Michiganders are making any changes. For my wife’s and my vehicles I currently have the “unlimited coverage” of $298 for $300,000 PIP, $16 for work loss (we’re both retired), and $220 for programs “required by the state - for a total of $534 per 6 months.

I have options for $250,000 coverage, $500,000 coverage, Unlimited, and Medicare opt-out. There a $50,000 Medicaid option but we both have Medicare.

Just wondering what other are choosing? Thanks.
