Far cry from days past.

In one of the many Miami riots from a few decades ago a couple of fellows - civilians - volunteered to help guard the entrance to a trailer park with shotguns. A car with several occupants approached at a high rate of speed and a bottle with a wick were clearly visible being held out of the passenger side window. The two fellows fired multiple shots at the approaching vehicle and the arm holding the bottle was seen to slump down and the car turned around and sped off rapidly.

This was all reported in the Miami Herald with nary a hint that anything wrong was done by the two ad hoc guards.

Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.
Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
