Once I shoot it a couple times at long range steel or paper it won't get shot a lot. I'm thinking a bullet that would do OK for feral hogs also probably more of them than coyotes. Maybe ten of each during the summer before deer season starts. I have a 243 with the 9 1/8 twist barrel and I do want to play with the heavier bullets. As far as that goes I could bring my 223 specifically for coyotes. So I do agree with you on this one. The rifle will be called to do some long range hog sniping when they harvest the Milo or corn. Come to think of it I need to call the guy that farms our property.
