I bought this custom VZ24 on consignment, for the price of probably just what the barreled action cost. It is well put together, although the original owner apparently never shot it much. The recoil pad was not fully attached, and the magazine catch needed a stronger spring, as the rifle would self-unload in recoil. Both were easy fixes for a local gunsmith. The only load I've tried so far is the 270 grain Speer with a middle charge of H4895, I believe 54 grains, for a chronographed 2375 fps, in Hornady brass. Group is at 50 yards. Sights are a Redfield peep and a front NECGS brass/ivory bead. Barrel is a quality 26" heavy contour of unknown make.
