The few crowd shots I saw looked like pretty good attendance.
The answer for future rallies, obviously, is to charge for tickets, $30 or more.
People attending can get their ticket stub stamped or otherwise validated.
The stub is then worth face value for;
Cash refund
Trump 2020 merchandise (on site or mail order)
Trump donation.
