I have a custom Model 7 chambered in 35 Rem with the factory plastic, hollow stock. The stock has a tight grip area and my knuckles get slapped every time I pull the trigger. While annoying at worst with 200gr loads, when I step up to 220gr Speer loads it gets painful. I'm considering a new synthetic stock and want to know if the B&C Model 7 stock has a more open grip area. I already have $1700 into this rifle with all accessories, ammo, etc and would like a low cost replacement stock. Worse case, I'd consider a McMillan or HS Precision stock but only after eliminating B&C as an option.

Thanks, Dinny
