UPS man brought my "new" 1954 Savage 99 EG in 35 Rem today. And it is sweet. Hats off to Chris (CTW) and all the folks at Red Oak Gunsmithing. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them for any work you might need done on 99's. I put 5 fat little Remington factory loaded 200 grains in the magazine and they went through the barrel and action as smooth as butter.

Going to put a M8-4x33 Leupold on it and get it to the range ASAP.

I've got a lot of irons in the fire at work this week and travelling over the holiday weekend but will have to finally figure out how to post pictures in the new format next week.

I'll get Joe and/or Gary to coach me up. grin
