The Supreme Court of Canada has decided it will not hear an appeal by three BC First Nations, who are trying to stop the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project. The Coldwater, Squamish, and Tslei-Waututh nations were challenging a decision by the Federal Court of Appeal last winter, upholding the federal government's second approval of the project. They had argued the government failed to adequately consult with them on the project. Trans Mountain began construction of the pipeline in Kamloops last month.
