looks like my next experience is getting a 2 stroke mercury to idle.
have a blister on my hand from pulling on that sumbitch for the last 2 hours. Cleaning the carb and replacing the plug did not help.
Just for grins, I'd make darn sure my idle circuit/jet was REALLY clean, and my float level and needle were good.
