I've got a Sako Vixen in .223Rem I picked up on Gunbroker. I am currently swabbing out the 10lbs of copper in the barrel, and degreasing the old Sako scope mounts in acetone. These Sako scope mounts are windage adjustable and proprietary to Sako. I have never mounted such mounts.

It looks like the rear mount has self-centering pin and can be pivoted around this pin. The rear mount is also windage adjustable. The front mount is windage adjustable, but with no centering pin.

I am guessing the mounting procedure is to first install the scope in the mounts, then adjust windage of the front mount, letting the rear mount pivot around its pin. Once the front windage is set, tighten the rear windage to hold the rear mount in place, but do so without altering the rear mount windage.

Sound about right?
