I'll add another vote for the HPG. I use the Heavy Recon for hunting and the runner's the rest of the time. I like not having the pistol out in the open.
I've used the Recon with a 4" N frame. Never tried it in the runner's. I don't find it ideal for multiple days with a revolver, as the cylinder starts digging into my sternum, but I don't really carry a revolver much these days.
