Woody,
I had a chance to buy an original Sharp's Business rifle, in .45-2 7/8", back in the '70 (during the carter admin.) for less than $200. It came up on a household auction in a small farm town north of our place. The butt stock had been broken off at the wrist but the rest of the rifle was in like-new condition. I ran it up to $150 and that was all the cash I had so I couldn't go any more. I've kicked myself every since.

“My horn is full and my pouch is stocked with ball and patch. There is a new, sharp flint in my lock and my rifle and I are ready. It is sighted true and my eyes can still aim.”
